The option to disable it was not available anywhere in the GUI, so had to edit the Registry (see Enable or Disable Aero Shake in Windows 10 with these methods) or use Winaero Tweaker:Īero Shake was part of the Windows Aero interface that has long been outdated. That window will remain open on Desktop, while all other windows will be minimized down to the taskbar. If you are not familiar with Aero Shake, it is a window management feature in Windows that allows quickly minimizing all open windows by 'shaking' the app you want to keep active. This setting is now off by default so for those who want it back will need to turn this setting on.
